Legal Stuff Links WELCOME to Robin 'n' Jacki Hunter's website, as our title suggests we will transport your car or motorcycle from and to anywhere in the UK mainland and our charges are based on the mileage involved. We can offer you a personal service, we are classic car owning enthusiast's, we can carry one or two cars at a time which we look after and care for as if they were our own, whatever their condition and whether running or not. Robin Hunter has now spent a total of over 30 years in the motor trade, in the past he was responsible for many staff, distributing millions of pounds worth of spare parts for hundred of different manufacturers, wholesale to garages, fleets and workshops throughout mainly the East Anglia area. Jacki comes from an accounts background and looks after the administration. Established in 1999 we started up this business after having difficulty getting our own cars transported while moving house, it has now grown into a full time occupation. We will carry your vehicle(s) on a professionally built Mercedes Sprinter transporter complete with winching facilities which has a bed 18ft x 7ft. We also have a "Brian James" trailer which is capable of carrying any car which fits on the 16ft x 7ft bed and weights up to 2 tons. We are based in South Lincolnshire, within a couple of miles of both the Norfolk and Cambridgeshire county boundaries, but are prepared to travel any distance should you require us to do so, please bear in mind that if you require a vehicle collecting from say 200 miles away from us and transporting just 50 miles up the road then you will be paying for us to be empty for 75% of the total mileage and there may be someone nearer to you who can complete the job for less because they will be travelling less miles. This is not always the case so please don't let this put you off asking for a quote as we believe our prices to be very competitive. We will accept your payment by Cash, Visa, MasterCard and Switch or even a cheque if supported by the correct guarantee card Regretfully we are currently having a few problems within the new London Emission Zone (LEZ) as our truck is not allowed in this location unless you are prepared to pay the exorbitant fee of £200 per day, however we can still collect or deliver your car within the LEZ with our 4 x 4 and trailer but have no winching facilities, so it needs to be running and driving. Please do not mix up the LEZ with the congestion area. You might feel that you could hire a trailer and do the job yourself cheaper, of course you can but may I remind you of one or two of the pitfalls involved. (1) Are you an experienced tower? (2) Do you have the correct sized vehicle to tow with? (3) How much (inc vat) is a trailer to hire? (+ deposit) (4) How far do you have to travel to collect the trailer? Remember, you have to take it back too. (5) How long will all this take you? (6) Don't forget to add the money you would loose taking the day off work. (7) Have you got the correct tie down straps? (8) Would you be properly insured? We have transported many different types of cars, over 900 in the last 3 year, a sample of photographs of some are included here, we are trying to show you a wide example in our gallery as we don't want to appear unapproachable whatever your car, we can cater for anything from Austin 7's to Range Rovers, including 3 wheelers and motorcycle combinations. Don't worry, we are comprehensively insured for any vehicle in our "care or custody" upon the value of £80,000.00. Please ask for details if you wish.
